The correlation of the learning activities such as “summer camps” regarding the cultural, imitative and visual arts patrimony preservation with events meant to allow the public access in the institutions, such as “Open gates” events or different fairs will emphasize the unicity and cultural diversity of Târnăvioara for the entire area. Protecting and reclaiming the cultural unicity and diversity of Târnăvioara is the only way Târnăvioara can have a firm and lasting development. The additional objective of this project is to intagrate the Roma minority in the life of the community, by acknowledging the diversity and promoting the cultral economy as a mean of intagrated development.
Thus, during the project, AIOS and its partners will organize three summer camps:
Photography and Imitative Arts Summer Camp – 29 June-5 July – Twenty students will learn photography techniques applied to patrimony objects. These photos may be used to promote Târnăvioara. The best photos, paintings or post cards will be included in an expo at the CCDE. This expo will be open a month after the project.
Architecture and Rehabilitation Summer Camp – 13-19 July – This educational project will host 20 students from different architecture universities in Romania. In this summer camp there will be inventoried and evaluated all buildings in Târnăvioara that have a historical value. The purpose is to write official files so that these buildings can be included in the Romanian Historical Monuments List. Thus, in the future, they can be rehabilitated and preserved. Drawings, sketches and models will be made. The best projects will be included in an expo at the CCDE. This expo will be open a month after the project.
Handicraft Summer School – 10-16 August – Twenty urban students and pupils from will learn traditional woodworking, metalworking and finishes techniques. They will have professional trainers, but also locals from Târnăvioara who are already certified in these handicrafts. The best products will be included in an expo at the CCDE. This expo will be open a month after the project.
